About Bette Sloane
I'm a born-and-raised NY girl with a long bucket list of places in this world I need to see.
In between travels, I love photographing people: engagement shoots, families, and head shots are my fave.
In my spare time, I teach students to see connections between the arts and mathematics in museums, in their lives, and in the world around them.
(translation: I teach high school mathematics with a passion for arts integration)
After receiving my BFA in Photography from SUNY New Paltz, I picked up my MA in Math Education from Columbia University Teachers College. And, I recently completely my EdM from Columbia University Teachers College with a research focus on the interdisciplinary nature of art and math. For more info on the exciting world of interdisciplinary education, check out the blog!
Want to inquire about a photo session? Want to discuss the interdisciplinary applications of art and mathematics? Want to tell me about an off-the-beaten-path place I should visit or hear about the time I was almost stranded on the side of a dirt road in Morocco? Drop me a line!
